It is on my mind more often these days. I cannot abandon Wallachia, but I do not wish to abandon what is in my heart either. If it was possible to bring us all here, then it must equally be possible to find our way to each other, if we desire it.
What's so important back there, anyway? Besides the whole basic "getting home" thing, which is pretty important, don't get me wrong! It's just the way you keep talking about it sounds like you've got something really pressing waiting for you.
Don't be mistaken. I've no urge to return other than for the sake of duty itself.
I must return home in order to prevent my father from destroying all the humans in my country -- perhaps even the entire world. He is mad with grief, and determined to punish an entire race for the wrongdoing of a few.
If I had the option, I would not return. There is nothing else waiting for me in Wallachia but an unfortunate task. However, if I do not, the humans will die. I would not forgive myself if I did not return home to stop my father.
That's a pretty good reason to go back, but it still blows that's your only reason. There's really nothing else for you? What are you going to do afterwards?
Perhaps work to find those dear to my heart, to travel through realities to find them. It is no simple feat, but my life is eternal. I have time to figure it out.
Well, I don't have infinite time like you do, Mr. Immortal, but I've got a couple hundred years in me, at least. Maybe if I find you before I croak, you can come back to New Earth with me. I think you'd like the carapace people.
