oh okay. That, uh, sure. Erika blinks, hard, and does some quick figuring and recalibrating of her expectations.]
...Like a blood test. [Or, like, one of those service dogs that can smell seizures. But you don't say things like that. Her voice is low, a bit shy but even and thoughtful.] Alright. It's kind of weird, but alright. I'm used to getting blood drawn.
I will only take a drop, but yes. It's the closest thing I can do to a blood test until we have proper equipment.
[Alucard moves to place on a pair of disposable gloves. The only alcohol he seems to have, unfortunately, is powerful vodka, the closest thing he has to cleansing. With him, he has a skinny shard of porcelain.]
[Obligingly does so! And when he goes to break skin, Erika long-blinks but doesn't flinch. This ain't nothin'.
She does watch him, though, in interest, questions about vampires - sorry, dhampir - swimming around the back of her mind. Like, if he perks up at all at the scent of blood. That would be...weird, but fascinating.]
[Alucard looks quite calm after pricking her finger. For a moment, he simply takes a whiff of it before taking down a few notes. Then, he's quick to have a taste from the end of the porcelain before he disposes of it.
He hums after a moment.] You are... remarkably healthy, after what you have told me. Aside from noting your weight and heart rate, I'd not have noticed any health issues other than what you have told me.
But it sends a chill down her spine. It explains everything that's felt strange, the tiny perceptual differences, the duller memory, the featureless speck of emptiness that she finds when she reaches for certain corners of her mind. It explains nothing at all, because her body is gone and before that it was beyond repair. If her blood was normal, then there weren't even traces of her usual medication, or that last, heavy dose of the post-treatment course.
She looks at the ground to think, mouth pulled into an uncertain frown.
What should she feel about that? Hope shines its wings at her and the only thing she can think is that it's some kind of mistake.]

Hold out your finger, please.

That's...unusual. But good.

[There's a thoughtful hum from Alucard.]
If you feel any changes, you should let me know at once. For now, allow me to check your other vitals.
[He gently takes her wrist, only to feel for her pulse. Once he's satisfied, he pauses.
Alucard doesn't have a device to check her weight, but... well. He can do this.
With ease, he picks her up under the armpits, frowning as he tries to evaluate her weight.]
I've little else to add. You seem, all around, to be a normal human girl. Slightly underweight, but not to an unhealthy degree. Pulse is reasonable.
