royal (pain in the asses)
After committing patricide, Alucard had reluctantly spent his years living with Trevor and Sypha; they were wonderful comrades, a friendship he had not counted on lasting -- but for years, it did. They bore children, and the Belmont line would continue for years to come. Though he felt immense guilt for helping kill his father, Alucard loved his friends and their wonderful children.
Which in turn, his immortal blood would curse him, forcing him to watch his friends age. The laugh lines suited them both, Trevor still dashing and smug despite his age and Sypha fiery and brilliant. His heart had sunk, staying with them, clutching their hands as their life would fade day to day.
“You fucking bastard,” Trevor had muttered, grinning tiredly. “Still as beautiful as the day you beat my ass in that dingy keep of yours.”
His heart broke as their time eventually came, feeling eerily alone as they passed away together in their sleep. Though Alucard was close to their children and grandchildren, it was not like the bond he had with them. His mother was gone, murdered by other humans. His father, killed by his own hands. King Alfor and undoubtedly the rest of the Alteans are likely perished by now, based on his father's words. Now the closest, only friends he had, taken by time itself, leaving him with so little.
There is nothing left for him.
And so it had been that Alucard sealed himself away in a stone coffin, burying himself into centuries of sleep to be forgotten by time. Yet, after all that had been done, it mean other beasts of the night have been left leaderless. Not that it meant much to Alucard, but their kind have diminished over the years, hiding away.
After hundreds of years, they find Alucard in his coffin, taking him to the remains of his father's castle. When the stone casket is forced open, his golden eyes snap open. Out of shock of being awakened and without his father to command the castle, it falls to him. All he can think of is no and get away, triggering the castle to activate. Magic and science turn even after so long of disuse, vanishing from Earth.

It hasn't been long after Pidge has introduced her brother, Matt, to the rest of the Voltron team and excitedly dragged him off to a tour. Though the Galra Empire is still a very real threat, there is a glimmer of hope with the forming of the Voltron Coalition and the refugees they've acquired. Currently, the Castle of Lions is docked and parked as the rest of the paladins work.
Then there is a crackle of magical energy in the air that undoubtedly Allura can sense before it pulses visibly once, from the ground up to the clouds in one snap.
Abruptly appearing is Castle Dracula, bricks and wheels falling from a once powerful foundation. Its sudden appearance calls for panic from the refugees, and questions for Team Voltron.
