nah i just woke up
no nightmares or anything, just kind of restless
it's getting close to sanguis again so that probably has something to do with it

were you painting or something?
i didn't want to bother you if you were in the groove
starmark: (TEASE ☆ one in a million my lucky strike)

oh so you're being a huge nerd

you're branching out just from the baby's prosthetic?

huh
i mean i guess that makes sense though

i've known since i got here that it takes chroma to call star out
i never really thought about trying to use that to make him stronger
but that's definitely worth knowing

so what have you figured out
starmark: (MUSE ☆ that's a good question pinky)

[personal profile] starmark 2020-10-01 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
you're thinking they adapted?
like they're the ones best suited to that kind of application of magic?

they draw off chroma and put it toward stuff
without ever having to touch their own
like a natural conduit
starmark: (PINGED ☆ urge to nerd out rising)

[personal profile] starmark 2020-10-01 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
that's wild shit

and you know
sanguis dragons produce a hell of a lot of chroma
maybe that fits in

generators and conduits

like an adaptation to mitigate a disadvantage

you know it's funny
everybody thinks of the sanguises as these tough predators
but maybe the irises are the real top of the food chain
luring in the sanguises
bending them to their will

it'd sure explain a lot
