You are absolutely correct. This place is horrid and I would sooner see it destroyed than be content to live here, but ... I am very glad for the people that I have met. Though in a way it also terrifies me; I don't know what I would do if they were gone from my life.

That's a pretty good reason to go back, but it still blows that's your only reason. There's really nothing else for you? What are you going to do afterwards?
Perhaps work to find those dear to my heart, to travel through realities to find them. It is no simple feat, but my life is eternal. I have time to figure it out.
