I don't want any and everyone looking at my medical history. Thank you for stepping up.

Name: Erika
Age: 16
Species: Human
Gender: Human
Blood Type: AB
Allergies: None
Known health conditions: Before coming here, I had a complex brain condition resulting from past physical trauma.
[...and my headcanon is not developed enough to jargon this so she explains this in technical terms but it boils down to: she has seizures, her brain bleeds, they're chronic and degenerative/fatal if untreated. She has an implant that connects to computers that deliver a therapy to assuage this but obviously that connection isn't live here.] I think the condition may have been completely corrected when I woke up here, but I don't know how that's possible.
Are you in need of ongoing treatment?: I don't know. If I do, it'll be obvious within the next couple of days to a week. I don't think there's anything that can be done, but if I have an episode, someone ought to know what's going on.

[Oh. Well. Okay.

Erika is going to sit herself elsewhere in the room and deadass just mess with her comm until he wakes up.]

[She shakes her head, apparently calm as can be, beneath the surface as nervous as usual in the presence of a stranger. He...already did not look like any doctor she's had previously, and less so awake and sitting upright. Interesting.]

I'm Erika.

[wh

oh okay. That, uh, sure. Erika blinks, hard, and does some quick figuring and recalibrating of her expectations.]

...Like a blood test. [Or, like, one of those service dogs that can smell seizures. But you don't say things like that. Her voice is low, a bit shy but even and thoughtful.] Alright. It's kind of weird, but alright. I'm used to getting blood drawn.

[Obligingly does so! And when he goes to break skin, Erika long-blinks but doesn't flinch. This ain't nothin'.

She does watch him, though, in interest, questions about vampires - sorry, dhampir - swimming around the back of her mind. Like, if he perks up at all at the scent of blood. That would be...weird, but fascinating.]

[That should be good, by all accounts.

But it sends a chill down her spine. It explains everything that's felt strange, the tiny perceptual differences, the duller memory, the featureless speck of emptiness that she finds when she reaches for certain corners of her mind. It explains nothing at all, because her body is gone and before that it was beyond repair. If her blood was normal, then there weren't even traces of her usual medication, or that last, heavy dose of the post-treatment course.

She looks at the ground to think, mouth pulled into an uncertain frown.

What should she feel about that? Hope shines its wings at her and the only thing she can think is that it's some kind of mistake.]

That's...unusual. But good.
