I gave mine to Alucard, I'm afraid. But I could work on constructing you one as well? Just tell me the issues you're having and I'll try to accommodate.
I suppose . . . width and depth, to begin with. I know I don't need to breathe, but the habits of thirty-odd years die hard, and I keep thinking I'm suffocating. That, and comfort; it's very stiff here, and I miss having pillows. And sheets. And a comforter.
If you'd be amenable, I'd like to help you. I might as well learn for myself how to build a coffin.
I'd be a poor friend if I wasn't offering some help.
A proper coffin, at least when I've had them, should be thoroughly padded at least. I've never really needed much space myself, but there's no reason we can't make changes.
It's not horribly complicated. Usually I'd carve mine out of stone, but it seems like wood is the most common.
Only in my early infant days, just to be sure I wasn't too sensitive to the sun. I can still use a normal bed personally, but I know that's different for some.
Oh, yes, let me pack the bloody Templar I'm fucking into a narrow box and try to ride him, that will go well. There's a difference between being a quitter and being sensible.
And that's very nice. I was born not a month ago, you might be a bit more helpful.

Theoretically.
I don't think the manufacturer intended for its contents to be comfortable.

Did you sleep in a coffin as a child?

Is there any reason you prefer the coffin nowadays?

Even if I still had it, I'd only use it if I needed to.

Though I suppose that answers that question regardless. I wonder if we could simply built a few boards around a proper bed.

I'm certain if that were a possibility someone would have just done that. Bear in mind, I'm not a full vampire, Rosalind. My rules are different.

Besides: the entire point of science is experimentation. Perhaps we'll fail, but it's better to try and fail than to just give up.

And it's rather inconvenient, on a more personal note. You can't enjoy a partner in a coffin.

That being said: I play hard. Someday you'll meet my Robert and he'll tell you just how often I verbally beat him.
